- Established in 1885. Twenty charter members met in homes until 1887, when a small lot was purchased on the SE corner of 2nd Street & Jefferson.
- In 1899 a lot was purchased at 5th Avenue and Monroe, and a modern building was erected and dedicated on October 29, 1899.
- In 1917 the congregation sold the outgrown structure. Three lots were purchased and the stately new building was dedicated on Easter Sunday, 1918. At this time the name of the church was changed from First Church of Christ to Central Christian Church. In 1934 the church went back to the original name of First Church of Christ,
- In 1967 3.7 acres of land at 2121 East Lincoln Drive was purchased and the property at Central and McKinley was sold. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held for the new multi-purpose building on January 31, 1971, with the first worship service being held August 29, 1971. In December 1973 an additional 2.2 acres immediately south of the church was purchased, and in December of 1979, in order to identify with the geographic location, the congregation voted to change the name of the church to Lincoln Heights Christian Church.
- The congregation was instrumental in establishing churches throughout the Valley from 1904 to 1948.
- December 2010 – LHCC celebrated her 125 year of faithfully serving the Lord and expanding His Kingdom.

As Lincoln Heights looks towards the future, all can agree that many things have changed; the places
of worship for the congregation have changed; the faces of those who worship have changed.
The only changeless one is Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen!
