Community Groups

Community Groups are a place to connect with others in your community. In Community Groups, we Pursue Jesus, Grow Together, and Unleash Compassion.  These groups are made up of people just llike. Groups meet onece a week at a home near you.

Each group supports one local and one global ministry partner. So if you want to serve the community and the world, get connected in a group. To learn more about our compassion partners, check out our Compassion Page.

FAQ

What Are Community Groups?

Community Groups are one vehicle we use here at Lincoln Heights to Pursue Jesus, Grow Together, and Unleash Compassion with other believers in our community

Pursuing Jesus-

Every week in Community Groups we explore the Bible together. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and can be an active resource in our walk with the Lord.  We read the Bible and share our thoughts and life experiences together. Each gathering will be Bible based and discussion led.

 Growing Together-

In Community Groups at Lincoln Heights we focus on genuine relationship with Christ and with each other.  Christ encourages us to minister to each other, resulting in growth and becoming more like Him.

Unleashing Compassion-

Once a month, our Community Groups serve our local community and neighborhoods together.  We partner with local ministries and support them together.

Is there an age-limit?

There is definitely NO older age limit. Remember, it’s about community not life stage. When it comes to a “younger-age-limit”...(1st) we encourage children, youth, and young-adults to attend the groups created for them but (2nd) we trust the Community Group coaches to identify the specific needs & dynamics of each group.

What about childcare needs?

Each Community Group coach & their group will determine the best way to handle childcare need. The coaches have been given several suggestions for childcare including:

  • The Group could identify a Childcare Home within the Community Group.
  • A babysitter could watch the kids at the actual home of the Community Group.
  • Each family will be responsible for their own childcare.
